Behaviour Consultations

Behaviour Consultations

Our standard behaviour package consists of -

  • 1 x 90 minute online session
  • 1 x 60 minute in-person follow up session.
  • A written behaviour report and training handouts for any exercises we cover.
  • 3 months of follow up email support.

The online session is where we will discuss your dog's behaviour history in depth and start putting our behaviour modification programme in place. We usually find it better to do this bit virtually as this is where I need to hear from you before we start working with your dog. Trying to manage your dog while we talk can be a big distraction and can be very stressful for some dogs.

After the initial consultation, you will be sent a behaviour report along with written handouts for any training exercises that you are going to begin working on. During the consultation, we will book in a date for your follow up appointment. This is usually 2-4 weeks from the initial consultation but will be dependent on your individual plan. The in-person session is where we can work together with your dog to make sure you are confident to continue your training plan. You can book further sessions on an as needed basis.

We understand that this format might not suit everyone's needs and we do offer alternatives where possible, for example both sessions being virtual or both sessions being in-person. Please get in touch to discuss your individual requirements and we will be happy to advise what we think would be the best option for you and your dog.

Behaviour issues can be complex and it is not uncommon for there to be an underlying pain or medical issue contributing to problematic behaviour. For that reason, we may ask you to have your Vet sign a referral form to say that they are happy to work with us and for them to send us a copy of your dogs medical history. This allows us to adopt a multidisciplinary, team approach and ensure that we have the best possible treatment plan in place for your dog.

When booking a behaviour consultation, you will be asked to complete a short questionnaire to tell us some basic information about your dog and the behaviours of concern. You can find a copy of this available to download below.

The cost of the standard package is £275
